The Students

Welcome to a worldwide hospitality network like no other. Whether you are a graduate student or a PDP/GMP participant, you are a member the day you arrive. It starts with classmates, advisers, and faculty members, includes industry executives who visit the school regularly, and extends from there to nearly nine thousand Cornell Hotel School alumni and twenty thousand Nanyang Business School alumni. * Students hail from around the globe: Australia, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Portugal, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States.

MMH students come from a variety of backgrounds and undergraduate majors, including: accounting, business, economics, engineering, finance, history, law, medicine, philosophy, and real estate. They have had work experiences ranging from running restaurants, to directing conference centers and designing health spas, from managing a lodging operation on an Army base to working in a family enterprise. Each has a story to tell, representing a collective wealth of experience that adds another dimension to the MMH program.

The Professional Development Program Student


Over 1000 individuals from 40 countries have attended the PDP in Singapore in the last three years. Each course is highly interactive, making the experiences of the participants a key part of the learning process. Courses are designed to fully integrate the expertise of the participants themselves.

Our application review process ensures that once you get here, you are among hospitality industry professionals of the highest caliber. Participants are men and women from all over the world who are making a difference in the industry, guiding their teams on the front lines and planning for the long-term prosperity of their business.
GMP applicants typically include hotel general managers, assistant general managers, executive assistant managers, and resident managers.
