Title: Supply Chain Management: Managing Processes and Building Relationships

Course Focus:

This course is designed to enhance foodservice and lodging operators’ understanding of proper supply chain management. This course will provide a foundation of operational elements needed to build and maintain a world class supply chain and demonstrate how creating relationships with internal and external constituents can improve operational performance.

Key Benefits:

Participants will gain an understanding of supply chain processes and be presented with ways to improve performance in purchasing, receiving, storage functions. As a result participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to build and maintain a seamless system to acquire, store, and disperse foodservice and related products.

• Market factors influencing supply chain management

• Inventory and supply management

• Human capital factors that influence supply chain management

• Value engineering

• Understanding risk in purchasing decisions
