| An expert in strategic marketing, some years ago
Professor Ramon Diaz-Bernardo decided to extend his field of
research to strategic marketing for the hotel and tourism industry.
This is his passion, which has led him to run the Executive Master
in Tourism Management at Instituto de Empresa and work as a
consultant for many hotel chains in Spain, Europe and Latin America.
In order to consolidate his position as an authority on this field,
in the 2005-06 academic year he has been to Cornell University,
where he has spent a year as Visiting Professor at the Cornell
School of Hotel Administration, doing research and teaching in
aspects related with hotel marketing strategy and franchising in the
hospitality and restaurant industry. Professor Diaz-Bernardo holds
a degree in Engineering from Universidad de Oviedo, an MBA from
ESDEN Business School (Madrid) and he is a Doctor in Business
Administration (Ph.D.) from IESE Business School. He is a member of
the Academy of Marketing and the American Marketing Association,
where he is a regular contributor at their annual meetings.
Furthermore he has been a Visiting Professor at Reykjavik University
(Iceland), IAE (Argentina) and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile), as
well as associate professor at Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona
(Spain) and EADA business School (Spain). He is also a regular
collaborator with the office of executive education of the Cornell
School of Hotel Administration. |
