Incentives

We offer two types of discounts, only one of which may be applied towards the program fee at any given time:

The Early Full Payment Incentive will be applied when program fees are paid in full by the dates specified below.

Singapore US$500

November 16, 2009 for January 2010

Ithaca, NY US$75 May 3, 2010

Special Corporate Pricing

Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management and the Office of Executive Education at Cornell's School of Hotel Administration have also negotiated a special corporate pricing which replaces the early full payment incentive.

This incentive is offered to companies with multiple hospitality properties who are willing to make a commitment to promoting our programs at the corporate level.

The US$500 Early Full Payment Incentive supersedes the Special Corporate Pricing for PDP January 2010 PDP. Special Corporate Pricing will take effect after November 16, 2009.

Please contact us at cni-execed@ntu.edu.sg if you are interested in joining the program and we can send you an agreement which needs to be signed by the Senior Vice President of Human Resources or Operations, or the person responsible for the content of your internal website and corporate newsletter.

Participants availing the special corporate pricing are requested to apply online.

Sorry, NO discounts apply to online courses.

Financial Assistance
- What scholarships are available?

Several regional organizations, such as the Caribbean Hotel Association and the International Hotel and Restaurant Association (IH&RA), offer scholarship opportunities to their members; but these are neither funded nor administered by Cornell University.

Alternatively, you may want to check with hospitality or business associations within your region to explore possible funding sources.

Spending Money

We recommend the amount of US$ 18/S$30 spending money for each day of participation in addition to meal expenses. VISA and MASTERCARD are accepted on campus and in most local shops; AMERICAN EXPRESS is less popular, and DINER'S CLUB credit cards are accepted in very few outlets. Travelers Checks in US dollars are accepted at virtually all shops and restaurants with proper identification; personal checks are not acceptable. There are banking facilities on the campus for most routine transactions. While thefts are rare, the possibility always exists; you are encouraged to keep your cash holdings to a minimum. Please note that we do not have safe deposit boxes available for participants.
