- Lodging in Singapore

Lodging Options for 2010

Participants are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements and paying for them at their own expense.

Registration will be held at 7:30 am on the first day of class. Classes will begin promptly at 8:30 am. Participants are welcome to choose to stay at their corporate hotel or any hotels in town and commute to the University campus for the daily classes, but should be aware that traveling to the campus between the hours of 7:30 am - 9:00 am will require 45-60 minutes because of morning rush hour traffic. Those who do so should make ample allowances for travel time to avoid arriving late for class.

Travel by Airplane

Singapore and Nanyang Technological University are served by Singapore Changi Airport. The university campus is about a 40-minute drive from the airport.

Singapore is positioned in the middle of the fast-growing and emerging markets of Asia-Pacific. Singapore's Changi Airport is one of the world's busiest airports and is connected with 4,064 weekly flights, by 83 international airlines to more than 180 cities world-wide. Singapore's excellent connectivity, strategic location, world-class infrastructure make arriving and traveling extremely easy.

Rates: From S$120 to S$168 per night**. Most guest rooms have two twin beds or one queen-size bed. We recommend the recently refurbished Executive Deluxe Room at a room rate of S$108** (rates are subject to change by NEC).

*The preferred lodging option for PDP
The PDP courses are conducted at the Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC), which is a 45 - 60 minute taxi ride from the city centre, where most downtown hotels are located. Since the PDP courses are slated to begin at 8.30 am, you should plan to leave any downtown hotel by 7.30 am or earlier.

An excellent alternative to consider, and one we highly recommend, is staying at the NEC itself. The NEC is a separate unit within the Nanyang Technological University. The rooms at NEC are basic, but functional, and they offer unbeatable convenience due to the location and features like free internet broadband connection. Please note that CNI does not operate NEC.

Nestled amongst the greenery, hills and lakes of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) campus in Singapore, the Guest Wing at Nanyang Executive Centre consists of 97 Standard Rooms, 55 Twin-Sharing Rooms, 12 Executive Deluxe Rooms and 2 Junior Suites and 4 Executive Suites, all tastefully furnished, complete with colour television with teletext and cable channels, internet broadband connection, electronic key card access, hairdryer, telephone and alarm cum radio clock. Cosy, intimate and inviting, guests may relax in any of the Executive Lounges featuring a reading and sitting area ideal for interaction and intellectual exchange.

** Subject to change. Please contact NEC for the most current rates.

Parking

Having an automobile at PDP is not necessary, as ample public transportation is available. If you do plan to have a car during your stay, please use only the free white parking lots at the Nanyang Executive Centre.
