Ph.D. Degree
RequirementsTo be accepted into the doctoral program, you must
have a master's degree or a Cornell Hotel School bachelor's degree.
- If your bachelor's degree is from Cornell's Hotel
School, you may apply directly to the Ph.D. program.
- If your Master's degree is not in Hotel
Administration, you would apply to the program as a provisional
Ph.D. candidate. If accepted, you would need to complete the
course work required for the MMH degree, then begin your
Ph.D. program. Accomplishing the MMH course work will take
approximately three semesters.
- You'll be expected to complete whatever courses
you and your committee agree are appropriate, and to prepare a
dissertation.
NOTE: Application for the Ph.D. program is made through
Cornell University's Graduate School and are different from the MMH
program application.
